After playing the demo, I strongly believe that the Need for Speed franchise is going down. I remember in the good old days how NFS: Underground 2, Most Wanted and Carbon were good. The driving in this is poor like in the previous ones and it is missing originality (from what I've seen). However, I've observed three good things in this demo. First off, the fact that we now see the driver in the cutscenes (I didn't play the previous NFS but I think this is the first time). Secondly, the variety of gameplay (in the snow) and finally the graphics of the car. They look very realistic. Enjoy!
