In its 43rd release Abstract Space Records heralds the return of Argentinian artist Julian Dep in a glorious two track EP, titled Wishes. Previously releasing on labels such as Soundteller Records, Old SQL Recordings, Electronic Tree, and Clinique Recordings Julian brings his complex rhythms and progressive leads in two beautiful tracks that the listener won't soon forget. In Wishes, the first track of the release Julian opens with a echoed out hammered dulcimer over an unbelievable deep bass kick that lulls the listener into a trance as an undulating bass line forms under an arped out 303, crisped hat lines, and breathey pads that carry the listener through the remainder of the track. The second and final track of the release, Ambition Code places listeners focus on an omnipresent growling bass drone that slowly rises and falls throughout the entire track while a coy sounding synthesizer vies for that attention, teasing out a melody amidst chilling filtered out vocal hits and dramatic keyed rises.
