In this short guitar lesson, I’ll show you how to move smoothly through chord progressions without jumping all over the neck using four CAGED shapes — the E shape, G shape, A shape, and C shape — all in the key of A minor.

You’ll learn how only your pinky finger connects the shapes (two on the 6th string and two on the 5th string), keeping your chord changes efficient and musical. I’ll also show how the A minor pentatonic scale (1st position) fits perfectly inside these shapes, so you can add fills, riffs, and licks between your chords for a more expressive sound.
