A somewhat long orchestral piece describing a traveler's journey through a forest. Video format inspired by ‪@AZALI00013‬, although the background is Cubase instead of FL Studio.

My favorite part is from 1:17 onward. I'm really happy with how that turned out :D

This piece has been in the works for a few weeks. It would have been completed much sooner, but I was swamped with school stuff for the past two weeks and had no time. But finally, I'll have some room to breathe this weekend and hopefully in the future! However, I'm in the midst of university; it's very possible I'll be busy again.

When making this piece, I imagined the story of an adventurer wandering into a mysterious forest with dark rumors surrounding it. When they first enter the forest, they are wary and easily perturbed by the oddities of this forest. Eventually, they run into a dryad (or some other kind of fantastical forest entity) and make a new friend. They stay the night, bid farewell to the dryad, and continue on their journey.

That's a very basic idea of what was (kinda) going on in my head when writing this. Here are some chapters to divide each section as I see it:

I made this piece using Cubase because someone recommended it to me. Fortunately, Cubase offers a 60-day free trial that, most importantly, doesn't require you to surrender payment information to use. I always hate trials that make you give up payment info just for them to automatically charge you once your trial is up.

Anyway, Cubase is a fantastic DAW for the type of music I create! I especially liked its expression maps, which made changing between articulations trivial compared to FL Studio. Also, the ability to copy all MIDI automation is a joy as well. After getting used to its MIDI editor, making music with it was simple. My only gripe is that it takes way longer to export stuff than FL Studio; perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Sorry for the extremely long description! I'm writing this for anyone who happens to be curious about the "story" behind this piece (and my thoughts as well, I suppose). Though, I don't expect most people to read my descriptions—I don't really have anything else except this to put down here anyway.
