This is how I prefer stacking tiered cakes. I tried to give a detailed, step by step process.

I used a 14 inch cake drum (12 would be fine too). The cake was 10/8/6 inch tiers. I use 2 inch cake pans, and each tier is 4 layers of cake.

Other supplies:

3/8 - 18 inch dowel

Ruler to find the middle of your cake

Tiered Cake Kit

Pipe cutter

Spatula and cake comb
