"This was a group of talented and dedicated inmates of the Kansas State Penitentiary."

"The group, founded by another inmate, the late Robert L. Covington, was in existence as a traveling group starting in 1966. And as such, appeared in concerts before civic, church, and school groups throughout Kansas."

"This album has been donated to the M2-W2 Volunteers in Prison Program. Therefore, everyone donating funds to further this program [originally would] be given an album at their request as long as they are available"

"The M2-W2 Volunteers in Prison Program recruited and trained citizen volunteers to work one-on-one with men and women during their confinement and after parole."
