Stylish resort Meloneras is known for its working 1890s lighthouse, the Faro de Maspalomas, a popular spot for sunset viewing and starting point for headland walks. Nearby are perfume, jewellery, and clothing stores, plus the Moonlight Cinema for outdoor film screenings. Lively beach bars and grill restaurants line the Paseo de las Meloneras waterfront. Sailing excursions depart from Puerto Deportivo.

It’s a lovely walk from Playa del Ingles to Meloneras, if you want beaches - there's a nudist beach and also around the dunes there's a gay beach, not far from the nudist beach but are around the middle of the walk from Meloneras to Maspalomas. Overall - a very fun walk and it's free! It's challenging but the views are lovely.

Maspalomas is a resort town in the south of Gran Canaria, in Spain’s Canary Islands. It’s known for its vast expanse of coastal dunes. These encompass the Maspalomas Dunes nature reserve. It contains several ecosystems, including the La Charca Lagoon, palm groves and the dunes, rich in birdlife like plovers, snipes and herons. The tall, slender Maspalomas Lighthouse has been operating since the late 19th century.
