I work with so many people who have already seen other trainers before coming to me, and their stories are often full of red flags that are only obvious in hindsight. How do you spot a bad trainer before you've wasted your time and money, or worse, damaged your relationship with your dog?

In this video, I share the key red flags I've gathered from years of experience. We'll talk about things like automatic muzzling, trainers who want to take your dog away from you to 'work with them', and the outdated (and debunked) dominance and pack leader theories that are still being used today. These warning signs often point to a trainer who is using aversive methods, isn't keeping their skills up-to-date, or doesn't understand the importance of addressing the root cause of your dog's behaviour.

If you see any of these flags, it's a sign you need to ask more questions and, most importantly, trust your gut feeling.
