In this video, I dive into a concept I'm calling "non-symmetrical traps," which I've been studying in relation to trading microchannels. I've noticed that when we experience a breakout above a high followed by a pullback and then a breakout below the higher low, the trade tends to go poorly about 50% of the time. Specifically, only 30% of the time does the first bar that breaks below get follow-through, which is crucial for my strategy. I'm currently backtesting this and exploring ways to improve my exit strategies. I encourage you to think about leg counting, as it's a common weakness that can impact trading performance.

For clarity - I have been trading with Al Brooks method for 6 years, I am not a consistently profitable trader. The 3 bar micro channel is not a magical setup, there are no magical setups. The reason I like it is because I only have to worry about learning context for one setup, rather than trying to divide my management strategy into swing trading or scalping.
