How Was Tolkien's Universe Created? | The Ainulindalë

In the beginning of Tolkien's universe, there was nothing except Eru Ilúvatar, The One. But from his thought came everything we know and love from The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and beyond.

From the landscapes of Middle Earth to Elves, Dwarves, Men and Hobbits, it all stems from Eru's vision of Eä, the universe - not just its history, but all the events still to come.

In this video, we'll take a dive into the creation of the universe as Tolkien described it, the formation of Arda, and of the Valar who watch over the ages as they pass (and of course Melkor, who likes to ruin everything).
