The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is a cancelled superhero film intended as the third installment for The Amazing Spider-Man film series. It was originally to be released in 2018, before Sony rebooted Spider-Man with Tom Holland. Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man was first introduced in 2016's Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain America: Civil War. It was intended to be directed by Marc Webb and with a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and Lizzie Baumgartner (who goes uncredited), from a story by Kurtzman, Orci, Webb, Ehren Kruger, and Kurt Wimmer.
