I recently did a breakdown of some of my favorite junk journal supplies and while I did mention Tim Holtz on that list, I did promise a completed list of just Tim Holtz products.

Now I love all of his products and use them in my mixed media journal and pieces all the time. These are all great to use for art journal pages and mixed media pages. He makes so many amazing products for any kind of journal pages. He makes everything from Tim Holtz label stickers to die cuts and ink rubs and distress crayons and a variety of ephemera. So let's get into it!

Let’s start with the Tim Hotlz distress oxides. They come in two forms distress oxides sprays and distress ink pads. Both react with water and it creates a really cool effect that I love for backgrounds in a collage journal.

Tim Hotlz distress crayons are something I’ve been asked about before. Learning how to use dishes crayons it as easy and learning to use crayons. I like to use my fingers but you could also use a tool for blending distress crayons. I also think watercolor with distress crayons is such a unique look for art journaling.

The junk journaling ephemera is a fancy way of saying stickers, papers and embellishments. I think Tim Holtz has a good eye for making collections of ephemera that are easy to use and a very specific style that I’m instantly drawn too.

So my last favorite Tim Holtz product would be his collab with Sizzix. It’s a die cutting and embossing tool that he made special plates for. I love to use the pieces in my art journals and junk journals to add textures and dimension.
