Redwood National and State Parks: A Guide to Seeing the Tallest Trees in the World & Park Overview

Описание к видео Redwood National and State Parks: A Guide to Seeing the Tallest Trees in the World & Park Overview

Are you planning a trip to Northern California to see the tallest trees in the world?! Then you're in the right place!

In this week's video, we dive into the patchwork of protected areas that comprise Redwood National and State Parks so you know what to expect.

Honestly, after visiting 4 separate groves spread out between every section of the park we can say...it's not necessary to visit ALL of them. We're so tiny compared to these massive trees, it's impossible to tell which ones are the tallest and oldest. They're all just equally massive and tall.

Our favorite grove, hands down, was the Tall Trees Grove, located in the heart of #Redwood National Park, which requires a reservation from the NPS. If you're only driving through and have time for one grove, try to snag a reservation in advance and make it this one - you will NOT be disappointed.

Here's a rundown of every area we visited and shared in this video:

1. Jedediah Smith State Park
-Howland Hill Road
-Boy Scout Tree Trail
-Stout Grove
-Point St George

2. Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
-Corkscrew Tree Trail
-Fern Canyon
-Gold Bluffs Beach

3. Redwood National Park
-Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail
-Redwood Creek Overlook (Devastation Point)
-Tall Trees Grove Loop Trail

4. Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park
-Mouth of the Klamath River Overlook
-Mouth of the Klamath River
-High Bluff Overlook
-Bonus: Yurok Loop and Hidden Beach Trails

5. Sue-Meg State Park (formerly Patrick's Point State Park, and NOT technically a part of the RNSP complex)
-Wedding Rock
-Agate Beach
-Big Lagoon County Park
