Описание к видео Veronica Campbell-Brown: Champion On and Off the Track, Mentoring the Next Generation

Mentoring young girls and women continues to be one of Veronica Campbell-Brown's main aims even after her retirement from the sport.

Veronica Campbell-Brown is an eight-time Olympic medalist and the second of three women in history to win consecutive Olympic 200m titles. She achieved this feat following Bärbel Wöckel of Germany, who won at the 1976 and 1980 Olympics, and was later matched by her fellow Jamaican, Elaine Thompson-Herah, at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. Campbell-Brown is also one of only nine athletes to win world championships at the youth, junior, and senior levels.

She boasts personal bests of 10.76 seconds in the 100m and 21.74 seconds in the 200m. Campbell-Brown was the 100m gold medalist at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics and the 200m gold medalist at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics. Throughout her illustrious career, she has also secured seven silver medals and one bronze medal at the World Championships in Athletics. Additionally, over 60 meters, she is a two-time champion at the IAAF World Indoor Championships.
