Sourdough is not as complicated as every says it is!

Sourdough Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
- 150g starter
- 310g water
- 15g oil (I use avocado)
- 500g bread flour
- 10g salt

Instructions:
- Mix starter, water and oil into a large bowl.
- Add flour and salt to mixture.
- Squeeze ingredients together (Yes with your hands) until it forms a shaggy dough
- Cover dough with a wet towel and leave in a warm place (ex. in oven with light on) for an hour.
- After the hour is up your going to start the stretch and folds. You will do 3-4 sets 30 mins apart.
- Now let your dough sit for about 2-4 hours depending on the temp of your kitchen. ( I place mine in the over with light on for 2 hours) the dough should rise atheist 25%.
- Remove dough from bowl
- Form dough into a smooth ball and place into a lightly floured banneton smooth side down.
- Put in fridge for bulk fermentation process for 12-24 hours. ( I do 12 hours)
BAKING
- Preheat oven with a Dutch oven inside to 500 degree F.
- Place dough on parchment paper and score to your liking.
- Put the parchment paper with dough in the Dutch oven and cover with the lid.
- Bake with lid at 450 for 30 minutes.
- Remove lid and bake for another 10-20 minutes depending on how crispy you would like your crust.
- Remove and let the loaf completely cool ( takes about 2 hours) before cutting and enjoying!
