Monmouth County, in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, hosted a Public Information Center meeting on June 27, 2023 from 5-7pm to inform local residents, officials, businesses and the general public about the Concept Development Study for the Operational Safety Improvements to South Laurel Avenue (CR 52) at the Railroad Bridge, located in the Townships of Holmdel and Middletown.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the public about the existing conditions within the project corridor and solicit input and comment towards the project’s Purpose and Need statement, which will later be used to guide the development of conceptual alternatives and selection of the Preliminary Preferred Alternative (PPA). The Project Team presented existing conditions, discussed deficiencies and constraints at the Railroad Bridge and within the project limits, and answered questions.

This meeting was conducted in conformance with Federal and State regulations. All members of the public are invited and encouraged to comment on the study.

Following this meeting, the materials presented will be available on the County website for review and public comment for 30 days. Written comments will be accepted through August 28, 2023.
