Ayodhya Kumar Krishnamsetty Born and raised in Visakhapatnam, completed master’s degree in marine science in Andhra University and went to USA to do a software job and ended up studying in film school. He wanted to make a romantic comedy in Telugu and ended up making Minugurulu wherein the script has been preserved in Oscar Library’s core collection

When Ayodhya Kumar Krishnamsetty made ‘Minugurulu’, he never expected that it would be shortlisted for Oscar Best Feature and eventually would bag seven Nandi awards.

In this exclusive interview with #iDream, he shared that the concept of the film-making by the visually-impaired intrigued him and shared how he interacted with the visually-impaired students, and shared his experiance of visiting Perkins School for the Blind, Massachusetts, to understand the technicalities of the visually-challenged getting trained in film-making.
