Welcome to my 'Monday Memories' where I hope to share a personal story about my interaction with or my inspiration about each of the singers/bands performing...I've filmed over 1300 to choose from...I'm looking forward to digging up some memorable performances and hidden gems to share with everybody!

Views = 194,000...I chose this video because the viewing numbers are huge. I'm a big fan of Frank 'Blazing' Aird, the trumpet player. He's the one who really inspired me to start recording the incredible 'live music'scene on display here in Negril. Frank Aird is the finest, most intense and at times, a pain in the butt...trumpet player in Jamaica. He's worth watching and listening to...and coming down to Negril, Jamaica to enjoy.

Joe Isaacs, St Catherine, Jamaica-born, made his name as a session musician at Studio One, where he worked with greats such as keyboardist/arranger Jackie Mittoo, guitarist Lynn Taitt, bass player Brian Atkinson, percussionist Denzil Laing and several accomplished horn players including saxophonist Tommy McCook of The Skatalites.
With Atkinson, Isaacs made a formidable rhythm section that played on many Studio One classics.
Some of the songs he played on are Dancing Mood by Delroy Wilson; Hold Me Tight (Johnny Nash), The Loser (Derrick Harriott), Israelites (Desmond Dekker), Bend Down Low (The Wailers), Fattie, Fattie (The Heptones), Rougher Yet (Slim Smith) and The Cables' Baby Why.

The Boat Bar has a regular gig/jam session afternoon 3pm to 7pm on the beach...all musicians and singers from around the world are encouraged to play with the band. This place is undoubtedly one of the best places to see 'live music' on the beach in Negril.
