About video:
Electronic governor is a control device to control the speed of the generator. It is based on the received electrical signals, through the controller and actuator to change the fuel quantity from fuel injection.

Typically there are three types of governor fitted to modern diesel engines. Mechanical, Electronic and Electronic Control Units (ECU). Each type of governor has its advantages and disadvantages which makes it suitable for different applications.

In automobile engineering, the term “Governing” means the action of varying the fuel supply in accordance with the load demands. So, the engine runs at practically constant speed.

Speed droop is a governor function which reduces the governor reference speed as fuel position (load) increases. All engine controls use the principle of droop to provide stable operation. The simpler mechanical governors have the droop function built into the control system, and it cannot be changed.

Governor maintain the speed of running engine by controlling the amount of fuel supply to engine. If the speed is low or high other than nominal value, then it increase or decrease the amount of fuel to engine. The signal governor receives from a certain control system.
