Statement of Need
Many clinicians do not routinely follow clinical practice guidelines or are unaware of new treatment modalities which will result in improved health outcomes. Providing education opportunities in targeted areas as well as adult specialty areas should improve a physician’s knowledge base and patient outcomes.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
• Develop a clinical acumen for when to suspect DKA
• Recognize the clinical manifestations of and apply diagnostic criteria for DKA
• Identify and manage DKA
