I never planned to be part of a story like this.

One snowy day, a white wolf appeared at my door, trembling and desperate, carrying a tiny wolf pup in his mouth. The pup was so small, barely alive, crying in pain — no blood, just fear.

I opened the door.
I didn’t think. I just acted.

I drove, I ran, I waited.
Behind glass walls, I watched strangers fight to save a life that couldn’t fight for itself.

Days later, I saw him again — wrapped in a blanket, bandaged, breathing, looking at me with slow blinks that felt like gratitude.

At home, he learned warmth, water, food, play.
He was still so small… half the size of half a puppy.
Outside, snow kept falling.

And one day, through my window, I saw her — his mother — waiting in the distance.

I opened the door.
He ran.
I stayed.

I watched them walk away together, slowly disappearing into the white forest.

Some goodbyes hurt…
but some are exactly how they’re meant to be.
