Battle of the Somme by Massed Bands of Scottish Highlands marching at Alness, Scotland April 2023

Drum Major Duncan MacDonald leading the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Scottish Highlands as they play 9/8 time marches "Battle of the Somme" and "The Heights of Dargai" on the march. This was at Crawl Park, Alness in Ross & Cromarty in Scotland on Saturday 29th April 2023 and part of the annual Highland Pipe Band fundraising event.

Drum Major Duncan Macdonald was with Badenoch & Strathspey Pipe Band and behind him are Drum Majors Charlie Grant with Royal Burgh of Tain Pipe Band, Thomas Brown with Northern Constabulary Community (NorCon) Pipe Band and Bill Coyne with Inverness Royal British Legion Pipe Band. The other bands taking part were Strathpeffer and District Pipe Band, Ardross Pipe Band, Ross & Cromarty Pipes and Drums School, Queen's Own Highlanders Pipes and Drums Association and members of Sutherland Caledonian Pipe Band.
