Beautiful heathered medium and charcoal grey organic Gotland yarn from a single flock of sheep living on a small certified organic farm in the southern part of the Danish island, Fyn.

100 % certified organic wool - Woolen spun 2-ply

Medium Grey: Approx. 50% Organic Gotland Wool and 50% organic local wool (both certified organic)

Charcoal: Approx. 50% Organic Gotland Wool and 50% organic local wool (both certified organic)

Meterage
301 yards (275 meters) per 100 grams (3.53 ounces)
There might be some slight weight and yardage variations from the spinning mill.

Gauge and Yarn Weight
20 sts x 26 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm / US 6 in stockinette.
This yarn works well for different gauges.
Knits up as DK

Recommended needle size
US 4 - 7 or 3,5 - 4,5mm

Background
The main fleece comes from a small flock of Gotland sheep from my parent's organic farm on the southern part of Fyn in Denmark where the sheep live a happy and calm life.
Gotland sheep have beautiful dark fleece that can vary from light silvery tones to charcoal greys to browns. The yarn will bloom and develop a stunning halo with wear.
For this yarn I divided the wool into three natural shades that I had spun at the local family owned spinning mill Hjelholts Uldspinderi.
To be able to spin the rather slick short staples the mill adds a bit of Falkland Merino wool.
My yarn is compatible to their Dansk Pelsuld 5.5/2 yarn that comes in many different colours.
