How We Made It | Dressing a Queen in Antony & Cleopatra | National Theatre

'Cleopatra’s the ultimate icon. My intention was to create something that looked like high fashion.' Go behind the scenes with Costume Designer Evie Gurney to see how the beautiful costumes for Sophie Okonedo's Cleopatra were created. She painted these costumes into the landscape of the set.

Power. Couture. Silhouette. The saffron dress she wears was inspired by Beyonce's Lemonade album.

Antony & Cleopatra was produced at the National Theatre in 2018 and was broadcast live to cinemas by National Theatre Live on 6 Dec 2018.
