Snowmobiling Tips & Tricks: Repositioning A Snowmobile That Washed Out

If you ride snowmobiles into the mountains, chances are that you have had your track wash out at one time or another. This can be caused by a variety things and ends with your skis pointed uphill. In this clip, I was making a fun sidehill line and spun my track on a small tree hidden just beneath the snow surface and ‘washed out’. Follow along with a narrated POV technique to maintain control of the snowmobile while sliding the front end downhill. This quick and easy maneuver saves the snowmobile from rolling down the mountain or getting into a worse situation. The line is saved and we’re ready to ride!
