Karachi Kings KK is a Pakistani professional franchise Twenty20 cricket team that competes in the Pakistan Super League. The team is based in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, Pakistan. The team was formed in 2015, as a result of the formation of the Pakistan Super League by Pakistan Cricket Board.
PSL Karachi Kings players 2020 roster is placed here. After having had a couple of really underwhelming seasons, the Karachi Kings came back to give themselves some chance in the fourth season of the Pakistan Super League and ranked 4th in the points table.

Interestingly, the Karachi Kings have decided to retain just seven players as opposed to the eight allowed. Babar Azam, who is quickly becoming one of the best players in the world, and Mohammad Amir are both Platinum Category players retained by the Kings, while left-arm spinner Imad Wasim and hard-hitting middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed are the Diamond retainees.

Aamir Yamin from Gold, Usama Mir in Silver and emerging player Umer Khan all get a chance to play for the Kings again.

Usman Shinwari has been transferred to the Lahore Qalandars, while the likes of Aaron Summers, Colin Ingram, Ben Dunk, Mohammad Rizwan and Ravi Bopara have all been afforded a release back into the PSL Draft.

During the draft, the Kings brought in England opening batsman Alex Hales, who had been left out of the England squad during the World Cup. He has a point or two to prove and will hope to get his best form back, and joining him will be fellow English seamer Chris Jordan.

Sharjeel Khan will hope his previous issues can be kept away from him as far as possible as he looks to unleash his full range of batting, while Mohammad Rizwan will want to convert his international experience into solid runs in this format too.

There was a shock pick in the form of Dan Lawerence, who is said to be a brilliant player of spin having batted at a strike rate of 160 in the Natwest Blast last year.

Key Players on Karachi Kings Team 2020
Babar Azam: With comparisons with the best batsman in the world, Virat Kohli, already rife, Babar Azam can make this PSL his own with a strong performance to book in the lead-up to the World Cup. He holds Pakistan’s chances in the World Cup, which is why a good showing here should keep him and his side in good stead in that tournament.

Imad Wasim: Captain of the side and till recently one of the best bowlers with the new ball in this format. However, he has also added some batting strength, scoring back to back 40’s in the ODI series and he will want that batting form to continue during the PSL too.

Alex Hales: One of the most explosive openers in the world who would have set the World Cup ablaze had it not been for a last-minute suspension. He has a lot to prove and expect him scoring runs by the truckload if the conditions are good.

The side was bought by Salman Iqbal owned Any Media Group for a whopping price of $2.4 million US dollars. They have appointed former South African international coach Mickey Arthur as their manager while former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed will serve as his assistant and bowling coach.
