An experiment to build a set of audio speakers using the 'Golden Ratio' rule that suggests that the ideal dimensions of a listening room (in this case speaker) would be of the ratio of approximately 1 x 1.6 x 2.6. Would building DIY speakers with internal dimensions in proportion to this make a difference to their sound quality? Follow this DIY stand speaker build featuring the Markaudio CHR-70 Free Range Drivers. Built in 18mm / 3/4" MDF, finished with a Royal Ebony real wood veneer and a removable back. This simple speaker build is small enough to be affordable but big enough to produce great sound and also having a super soundstage. The design could easily be adapted for any type of Free Range Drivers.

UPDATE MAY 2024: Having fully run in these drivers, these speakers have superb clarity and a fantastic sound stage. Amazing especially playing Jazz, Classical music.

MEASURED to 51hz (as measured with DATSv3) : Approx Volume 14L.
