Two correspondents from Radio Sengerema, in Tanzania, tell how they are now able to report stories and produce programmes in a much more professional way, thanks to the ICT training they’ve received.

The UNESCO project “Empowering Local Radios with ICTs”, supported by Sweden, aims to strengthen the capacities of local radio stations to improve the quality and variety of their programmes and broadcasts by increasing the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in order to provide poor populations and marginalized groups with access to quality information on issues of local concern and foster their participation in the public debate.
