Jebel Jais is a mountain of the North-Western Hajar range in the Musandam Governorate of Oman and also in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The summit has an elevation of 1,934 m (6,345 ft).The summit is located on the Omani side, but a high point west of this peak is considered the highest point in the United Arab Emirates, at 1,892 m (6,207 ft) above sea level, and with around 10m of prominence. Since the summit is on the Omani side, Jebel Al Mebrah (also known as "Jabal Yibir"), at 1,527 m (0.949 mi), is the highest peak in the UAE, with significant prominence.

The tallest mountain in the UAE and home to the world’s longest zip line, this UAE camping spot is a firm favourite amongst city-dwellers. With breathtaking views, Jebel Jais has a rugged terrain with a winding road towards the top. Several wadi beds along the route give campers plenty of options to pick the right location (or height) to pitch their tents and settle in for a night. It can get a bit too windy and chilly as the night wears on, so make sure you carry extra blankets and firewood to stay warm. Recently, regulations have been put in place to discourage open fires. It is advisable to light your bonfire in a fire pit or your barbeque grill to avoid complications.
