💡 Use citrus scents.
Cats don’t like the smell of citrus. Spray a little lemon or orange essential oil around the base of the tree to keep them away.

💧 Create a water barrier.
Place small bowls of water around the tree. Cats usually avoid water and will stay away from the tree.

🛑 Use repellent sprays.
There are special sprays with smells that cats don’t like. Spray these on the lower branches to deter them.

🎁 Provide alternative toys.
Give your cat some new toys or a scratching post to keep them busy and distracted from the tree.

🎄 Secure the tree.
Make sure your tree is stable and won’t fall over if your cat tries to climb it.
