Now I have meticulously sampled all my best original sounds from this classic. I've taken 5 or 6 samples of each sound and put together multi sampled patches to get that detuned "oscillator drift" feeling as you play through the octaves. Not TOO many multi samples as the whole point is to take creative advantage of the sampler artifacts, what makes samplers so "80s" in the sound.

In mid 80s, in pop and chart dance music, producers used samplers a lot. Many of the synths were sampled instead of recorded. That defined the sound of mid 80 dance and chart music. Samplers were mostly 12-bits and they had lots of digital artifacts resulting in a sound of it's own.
So if you're going for a true authentic mid 80s pop/chart sound, sampled sounds is the way to go. The TAL sampler is in my opinion the best authentic sounding plugin sampler you can get in today's market. No other plugin sampler captures an old school sampler better.

Everything is recorded directly out of a hardware Jupiter-8, through SSL Superanalogue preamps.

The vibrato of the Mod-wheel has been set for many of the patches, but you have to adjust the range of the vibrato by adjusting the two left knobs of in the Mod-Matrix. Please check my video for the Digital Collection Vol.1 for tutorial on how to do that.

If you download this pack with the intent of using the Wav-files for other purposes, be aware that these are not start- or end-point trimmed nor looped. This is all taking place inside the TAL-sampler and changing the Wav-files will directly impact the sound of the patches inside the TAL-sampler so remember to copy them to another place on your hard drive first.
