Don't Lose Heart! (John Piper - Sermon Jam)

Описание к видео Don't Lose Heart! (John Piper - Sermon Jam)

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by our suffering. We all encounter suffering and afflictions in this life. Whether from natural causes, man made causes, or even the weakness of our body, suffering of some type will come to us. It is part of the Fall, recorded in Genesis 3. We should not make light of this fact because suffering is not enjoyable, and often very painful. We should come along side those who are suffering and encourage them and help them in their sufferings. But we must always remember that even in suffering, God is in control and is working through our suffering. Therefore, we must not lose heart! Consider what Joseph said to his brothers in Egypt when they encountered the brother they had sold into slavery:

Genesis 50:20: As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

In this video, John Piper explains how we can not lose heart when we endure sufferings and afflictions and how we can consider a purpose for our suffering that many have not considered.

A sermon jam based on John Piper's sermon "How Our Suffering Glorifies the Greatness of the Grace of God."
