Banyule Recycling & Garbage - The Old SL's

Here we have a range of clips dating back to the early 2010s featuring 2 of Banyule's old fulltime recycling side loaders and 2 of its old spare trucks. #9218 was a part of the fleet from 2004 - 2012 before it was replaced by #90402. #9549 was a part of the fleet from 2005 - 2013 before it was replaced by #90461. #90089 and #90103 both joined the fleet in 2007 as full-time garbage trucks until 2009, when they became spares. Both trucks were sold in 2013. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure one of 90089 or 90103 ended up at Central Goldfields.

If the drivers of #9218 and #9549 look familiar that's probably because they are the same blokes that are currently driving #90760 and #90795. Craig and Churchy (Gary) have both been at the council for over 17 years, starting on garbage runs before moving to recycling. Churchy has been collecting the Recycle 1 run since 2008 and Craig has been collecting the Recycle 2 run since 2011.
