Welcome back on today’s video. I’ve been called out to a customers house because they have really high water pressure issues a kitchen sink tap to change and while I’m there, I’m going to install a limescale filter on the watermain as I’ve got it all in pieces anyway.

To solve these issues I’m gonna be installing a pressure reducing valve on the incoming watermain. We got quite a decent bit of space and we’re gonna be installing an isolation valve after as turning the water on and off in emergency on the stop tap can be a little bit fiddly. .

underneath the kitchen sink is to be hired. They got no clips on it whatsoever so it’s all flippy floppy so we’re gonna have to tidy that up a little bit before we installed a new kitchen sink tap.

In today’s video, we’re gonna be getting the blue lamp out we’re gonna be removing the old fittings as possible and clipping it up nicely back against the unit with sold up some male irons ready to take the tap with a flat face. I’m changing all valves underneath so we have new isolation valves with the butterfly lever style and a new washing machine hose to take the inlet to the washing machine.

I really struggle to see how people can put pipes in without any clips as it must just be flippy flopping everywhere it’s so much easier to Plumb straight with copper by putting your clips on and making sure everything is in straight lines the eclipse I like to use are ones from Ecoclip they Spacing off the wall so even a pope slice fits behind they snapped together and you can screw over side of them so you can always move them at a later date if you really want to and you can even pop them off using your fingers instead of a flat bladed screwdriver, which will jab straight into your hand.

Pressure reducing valve needs some mail irons put into it so we’re gonna be using a product called gripaloc from xpro and some loctite 55 for good measure. I normally add the thread as well as the sealant when I know I have a high risk fitting so anything on a watermain if I’m going to use a liquid thread locker I just wanna put some cord on just to make safe.

The Aquabion is sized for the house. These units like to be worked hard and because there’s only a shower and an ensuite, it’s perfectly adequate for the house. The bridge in of earth bonding is sent within the unit package so I’m just fitting to manufacturers instructions.
