Rode VideoMic Go - Distance Test

I'll use Rode VideoMic Go to record better audio of inline skating videos. It's important that it can pick up voices far away. I tested 20 meters away, and even at that distance the voice was clear. Even a lot further back it was possible to pick up what I said.

Compared to a cheap $5 clip on microphone the difference is not that overwhelming though. But compared to the built-in mic on my Nilkon D3200 it is a lot better. This is due to autofocus noise, which is greatly reduced with the Røde mic.

Keep in mind there was next to none ambient noise. In that scenario I think Røde would be a lot better than the the clip-on simply because Røde VideoMic is directional as opposed to omni-directional.
