Robert Stewart of the National Park Service shares an overview of the story of the Charles Young and the Buffalo Soldiers National Monument located right here in Wilberforce Ohio. Charles Young was born to enslaved parents in 1864. He entered West Point military academy in 1884. In addition to a distinguished military career, he was professor of military science at Wilberforce University. Overcoming great obstacles he was revered by thousands, and buried with military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in 1923. Join the webinar to learn more about this illustrious American.
