When a young person’s kidneys become critically damaged, shrink in size, and stop functioning, a kidney transplant often becomes the only reliable solution. Understanding how the transplant works, the chances of success, and the differences between a family donor and a non-related donor are critical.

Kidneys donated by unrelated individuals can vary greatly in how long they last. Since there’s no genetic connection, the body may struggle to accept the organ, leading to early rejection or complications. These kidneys often come with a higher risk and uncertain outcomes.

𝟮. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿

When the donor is a close relative, the kidney is more likely to function smoothly and for a longer time. In many cases, such kidneys work well for 10–20 years. Md. Kalim’s kidney issues began in February 2018. Due to wrong treatment and lack of awareness, his health continued to decline. The core issue was uncontrolled blood pressure, which caused chronic kidney disease (CKD). On top of that, he developed acute kidney injury (AKI), making the situation more critical.

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

With consistent Ayurvedic support, his health has improved significantly. His creatinine level has come down to 3 mg/dL, and he feels much better in day-to-day life.
