I've owned two 68 Vibrolux's in my time and whilst I always enjoyed the tones of the amp, I always felt there was a boxy low mid (especially on the Custom channel) that I suspected came from the stock speakers.

This is a 2014 model with G10N's in, which are in my opinion, better speakers than the Ten 30s that current production 68 Vibrolulx's are loaded with. However, I have never really had a Fender amp that couldn't be improved through a speaker upgrade (except for limited edition amps with decent speakers already used) so I thought this was worth a go.

I'm really pleased with the results of this swap. I think the amp sounds more open and has more presence, but the driven tones also have more body and warmth. This may be down to the way Greenback's are designed to respond to different tones.
