Welcome to our Japan Winter Series! 🇯🇵

Rise and shine for an incredibly chilly day because we’re off to… HIROSHIMA!!! 🗾❄️

But first, we had to wait for our travel buddy and sister, Jesca—also known as Kabong! After landing at Narita Airport, she hopped on the Narita Express train to Tokyo Station to meet us. Fun fact: she followed the instructions we shared in our first episode!

Our reunion at Tokyo Station was such a happy moment, but the clock was ticking! We had to rush to catch the Nozomi Shinkansen bullet train bound for Hiroshima. Of course, we couldn’t board without grabbing bento boxes for lunch—it’s practically a must for any Shinkansen trip! 🍱

This travel to Hiroshima brought its share of little mishaps, but hey, they’re all part of the adventure, right? (We learned a LOT along the way!) Traveling from Tokyo to Hiroshima takes around four hours by bullet train, and there’s plenty to do while onboard. You can work (thanks to the free Wi-Fi), enjoy your bento, take photos, and even catch up on sleep. Plus, if you’re lucky and the weather’s clear, you can catch breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji along the way! 🗻

When we arrived at Hiroshima Station, the peaceful vibe immediately stood out—so different from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Our first stop was the Hiroshima City Cultural Exchange Hall (yes, they have a hotel there!), where we checked in and did a quick room tour. It was the perfect start to experiencing what Hiroshima has to offer.
