Why do we keep things in our homes just because “that’s how it’s always been”?
In almost every kitchen in America, you’ll find the same setup — refrigerator, sink, stove, oven. I finally stopped and asked myself a simple question: do I actually need that big stove at all?
In this video, I show you why I decided to get rid of mine, what I replaced it with, and how my kitchen actually works better for the way I live. This isn’t advice and it’s not a tutorial — it’s just one more example of doing things differently when the traditional way no longer makes sense.
I live alone, I cook differently than I used to, and modern appliances have changed how I use my space. With induction cooktops, air fryers, slow cookers, toaster ovens, and outdoor grills, the old “one-size-fits-all” kitchen doesn’t always fit anymore.
This is just what works for me — it might spark you to question a few things in your own home too.
