"Battle Squadron: The Destruction of the Barrax Empire" is a top-down arcade-style shooter game for one or two players. Originally released in 1989 on the Amiga platform, it was later ported to the Genesis. The game is a spiritual successor to Hybris and is set in a futuristic sci-fi universe where the player must take control of a space ship and battle against the hostile Barrax Empire. Players can customize their experience by controlling the number of credits, lives, enemy bullets and their speed, and can acquire power-ups and special weapons to aid them in their mission. With its fast-paced action, challenging gameplay and variety of weapons, "Battle Squadron" is a classic arcade-style shooter that will appeal to fans of the genre.
