A slideshow of some of the tobacco and alcohol items found in the museum of the WV Culture Center.

While I focus on just the stuff related to this channel, it’s obviously just a tiny part of what’s there. Historic artifacts, documents, photographs, dramatizations, and other educational displays are to be found throughout. It would be very easy to spend hours and hours there and still not see everything. Even if you have no tie to WV, if you like history at all, it’s a worthwhile trip.

Fun facts:
•WV seceded from VA in 1863 because the residents of WV were for the most part against slavery.
•My hometown switched hands 14 times during the Civil War.
