A fighter jet has slammed into a block of flats sparking a huge inferno as one of the pilots was seen just after ejecting.

Footage shows a huge fireball coming from the apartment block in the Russian city of Yeysk after it was hit by the Su-34 supersonic plane.

It’s currently unclear if there are any deaths from the horror inferno.

The crash appears to have happened around dusk in the city and flames lit up the night sky.

Local reports said five floors of the building were on fire, the upper floors had collapsed and about 45 apartments were damaged in the blast.

One of the two pilots on the jet can be seen floating down to earth on his parachute right beside the flames.
