Скачать или смотреть JB-2 Buzz Bomb, JB-10 Rocket Bomb Launches from Eglin Field, 1945

Rare archival black-and-white test films show American JB-2 (Loon) copies of the German V-1 buzz bomb launched at Eglin Field, Florida, circa 1945, with varied results, including spectacular crashes. Some are boosted aloft on a Northrop rocket sled using four Tiny Tim rocket motors for thrust; others are air-dropped from modified B-17G Flying Fortress bombers. There are some great inflight scenes of B-17s launching JB-2s. Some of the test films depict JB-2 fuselages with pulse jet motors air dropped without wings. Also seen is the sleek delta-wing Northrop JB-10, powered by the same American derivative of the V-1 pulse jet that powered the Loon. The JB-2 at one time was envisioned for mass use against Japan. Instead, stateside tests with JB-2s helped advance American postwar rocket science. Look for three types of chase aircraft for the launches -- a Douglas A-20 Havoc, a Lockheed P-38 Lightning and a North American B-25 Mitchell.

There are a couple gaps in the soundtrack music. This is the result of a copyright claim that we believe is in error, but cannot afford the time and money to fight. A YouTube remedy is to delete the sections of the music which were challenged; another YouTube remedy would be to allow the claimant to keep ad revenue for this video, and we're not about to let that happen.
