We at Magic Spangle Studios are proud to have produced this animation for EngenderHealth, focusing on the vital role that communities play in responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

When women face violence, they often find themselves isolated, unable to break free. However, communities—including friends, family, neighbors, and peers—can serve as the first line of response. This animation highlights the crucial role of community leaders and health workers, such as ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers, in raising awareness about GBV and providing survivors with the support they need.

A supportive community response involves recognizing the signs of violence, offering a listening ear, and linking survivors to services like healthcare, police assistance, and One Stop Centres. By fostering an environment where GBV is openly addressed, communities can help break the cycle of violence and offer survivors a pathway to safety.
