Self Injury From Stimming

Abbie has days when she is seeking lots of sensory input. Those are often the days she yells a lot but she will also dig her nails under her other nails and pinch herself in the leg. It doesn't seem to hurt her too much but it can leave marks on her legs sometimes. My theory is she does it when she is in need of intense sensory input. Like her skin is crawling and the only thing that helps is intense sensations. The squeezing tends to help. Patience also helps. It's super hard for her to focus on anything else.
