I take a look at the evolution of Jose, Joe or Ze Carioca, the Samba-loving, Malandros inspired, Brazillian friend of Donald Duck and Panchito Pistoles. Created as part of Walt Disney's goodwill tour of Latin / South America during World War II for the films SALUDOS AMIGOS and THE THREE CABALLEROS, Ze would take on a life of his own and see an illustrious decades-long career in Portuguese comics.
