You might not believe it, but Deepmind AlphaFold 2 has already been surpassed by a newcomer in the Medical Artificial Intelligence Industry. ARES is a Deep Learning AI which is used to sequence RNA Structures at record speeds. How this Artificial Intelligence sequences these DNA and RNA Molecules is really interesting. ARES was trained on only 18 RNA structures and was able to derive significant building block principles for RNA folding, which will be tested in experimental labs. ARES is likewise input agnostic in the sense that it is not especially tuned to RNA.

Whether Deepmind will beat them again with AlphaFold 3 is to be seen in the future. But one thing is for certain: Viruses and diseases are going to have a tough enemy with quickly improving future medical technology which could cure almost anything including cancers.
