DIY Furniture Renovation: Transform Old Rattan Furniture

In this video we put together photos and videos of DIY furniture renovation made from 2020 till now - wicker chairs, armchairs, coffee table, patio table and flower pot. Kate shares how to transform old rattan furniture using plastic rattan. Some helpful tips of wicker furniture refurbishing are listed below

Tips and Hacks: How to Renovate Rattan Furniture
1. Use ribbon shape plastic rattan instead of straw shape because it’s more flexible and reliable
2. If only some od rattan strands are damaged you can remove only them and replace with the new ones
3. Combine two or more colors of faux rattan in order to refresh the furniture look
4. Fix rattan ends while work in progress using duct tape or twine in order to make wicker weaving more tight

Materials & Tools
- different color plastic rattan in shape of ribbon (Kate use faux rattan produced in Ukraine)
- screwdriver, pliers, scissors
- twine, duct tape (for fixing, optionally)
Heavy duty staple gun no needed!

There are two of us who running the ‪@CozyHomezy‬ channel - Kate and Nellie, we are friends, stay at home moms and crafting lovers, and we are Ukrainians.
