"GEARS" model engine motors - Shop'n with Larry #3

Another episode of Dad's Shop'n with Larry series.. In this episode we are displaying the series of "GEARS" air driven motors that he built through machining on his lathes from the raw casting kits from 2004-2012.

The GEARS show in Portland Oregon was an annual show for model engine builders and machinists to gather for a big show & tell of their machining work. The show brought in enthusiasts from around the country and ran up to 2014. To help pay for the show every year the organizers offered a unique mini model engine casting along with the plans that machinists could build on their own. They were designed to be air driven.

Each year I bought the kit, completed the machining, and brought the finished engine back to display along with my other model engines. This video is the collection of the GEARS model engines from 2004-2012.
